You might think that healing ends when the detox is over, but for sensitive bodies, the detox was just the beginning because what comes after the clearing is clarity and not just mental clarity, body clarity. The moment you stop treating your symptoms like random chaos, you'll start understanding what your body has actually been trying to tell you. And if you're moving into summer already overwhelmed, dysregulated, exhausted, or bracing for impact because the season has its own chaos. Yeah. You're going to undo all the progress you made in spring. This is your episode. If that's where you're at today, I'm going to show you what clarity actually feels like in a sensitive body. Why understanding your patterns changes the way you move through life and how to enter this season, this summer, from regulation instead of override. Because healing isn't just about removing what hurts you, it's about finally learning how to hear yourself clearly. Hey, I'm Amanda Smith, former aerospace engineer who worked on NASA projects and programs like Artemis. Yeah, I worked on Artemis too. All the stuff on the inside. Now I am a grounded mystic translator for the nervous system for sensitive bodies. Welcome to the Cosmic Body Shenanigans podcast. Memorial Day specifically is kind of like this line drawn in the sand that marks summer. This really kicks off summer for a lot of us in the northern hemisphere kicks off winter in the southern hemisphere. But it's also when the kids are out of school. And when social demands are higher, and it can cause chaos in an already dysregulated body. So what we want to honor now more than ever is understanding the feeling in the body for clarity's sake and not for chaos's. Here's what I want you to ask yourself. What have you been carrying? And are you going to carry it into this next summer? Or is this the place where you set that down? For sensitive bodies, that question isn't rhetorical. It is physiological. Most people think of clarity as this big light bulb aha moment. Yeah. the information's coming in and you're going, yes, yes. Similar to listening to this podcast and nodding your head and going, yes, yes. But here's the thing, for sensitive bodies, real clarity arrives somatically before it arrives in the brain, before it arrives in the thinky, thinky part, the cognitive part of you. Here's what it feels like. It's an exhale that feels different from every exhale before it. It's a settling in the chest, not a heavy settling, but just like a, it's that, oh, feeling that, my gosh, the one that you might not have ever experienced before, but you're going, oh, that I want more of that. Yeah. That's the clarity I'm pointing to. Not the information clarity, the kind that I like to get caught up in. We're looking for the body clarity. When sensitive people get this, when they feel it, when they can access it, when they finally, they can finally start to see the patterns, understand the signals and recognize what their body has been trying to tell them all along. That is when something shifts, not just in how you feel and how you move, how you respond, how you interact with the rest of the world. I've watched this enough times to describe it fairly precisely. So you make a decision from a completely different place when you are asking yourself What does my body need? instead of what should I do? Those aren't the same question, not even close. The answers are very different also. You stop bracing for symptoms and start reading them instead. Fatigue becomes information. Emotional rawness becomes signal. Overwhelm becomes a legible message about load rather than the evidence you're broken. The relationship with summer shifts and this is what I love because summer is definitely schedule disruptive. If you're an entrepreneur like me, your kids are home now and well, it's a whole different chaos. It's a whole different way of interacting. It's a whole different way of creating routine without actually having routine. And summertime is overstimulating in my humble opinion. You've got the heat, which can definitely over stimulate you, especially if you're someone in perimenopause or in menopause and you're having hot flashes. If you are reach out, please. But it's also this time of social demand. It's time to get outside and go to parties and go play at the pool and all the outdoorsy things are more accessible. If you're opposed to being in, you know, snow gear. I don't mind either season personally, but it's one of the hardest seasons on sensitive bodies and sensitive nervous systems because of all of the chaos going on. And without clarity and a support structure, summer can undo everything that you were working on in spring in that detox. It becomes something you actually move through on purpose when you move from body clarity. So let's talk about that really quick from an offering that I've created. this is the cosmic sensitive circle. This is a place where sensitive bodies are coming together and talking to each other about what they're experiencing and how they're experiencing it from the lens of their cosmic sensitive type. their sola, luna, baro, or empa type. And they're learning more and more about that sensitive type so that they can navigate with information, but also body experience. I take you through somatic experiences and experiments so that you can really start to feel it in your body and understand, oh, I'm tired, but here's really why. And then once a month we gather in a group live and you get feedback from me on what you're experiencing in your body. So if it's summertime for you and you're experiencing perimenopause and walking from the car to the pool gets you so hot that you have to stop and catch your breath. This circle it's for you. We want you to know what's going on and how to fix it, how to shift it. how to see it slightly differently. And then of course, in the circle, get the, every time there's a new moon and a full moon, you get the cosmic shenanigans briefings on what's coming so that you can prepare yourself for the next two weeks. I give you specific dates on what's going on in your body, what's going on around you so that you can prepare, take a little stress off, make it a day that you stay in the air conditioning. Things like that. All right, let's get back to the points about clarity in your body versus the thinky, thinky clarity that some people are looking for. In the beginning of May, we started talking about detoxing. I was going through and kind of still am going through a detox and That's the time that it's rough, right? Some detoxes can be really rough. An eye opening and a clearing process, especially for a sensitive body. And then we move through to completion of that detox. So at the end of May, now I want to talk about what comes after. The detox was the clearing. Clarity is what becomes available once the clearing is done. And this is the time for clarity. We are moving into summer. This is the time to actually understand what your body is doing. The world's going to need us at our strongest after this detox. And that strength is built on understanding, not override. So before we move into summer, let's take just a couple of minutes and answer this question. What do I know now that I didn't know in January? Write it down in a journal, start bullet pointing in your brain if you're driving your car while listening to this episode, but answer that with clarity and completion. and try to answer it from a place of the body first and not the brain. What do you know about your body that you didn't know in January? Feel what settles, what opens, what says yes. Not just yes, but heck yes. That's clarity. Your body has been building toward all spring. Honor it, decide from it, and then move into summer with it. I've already mentioned the cosmic sensitive circle.
